Now this is a picture to see the Athabasca glacier this picture was taken at the ice station which is about a mile away at least ,this glacier is one of the biggest in the world where this picture was taken was where the glacier was in 1845 ,you can walk on this glacier or ride on a bus at the bottom of the glacier there is a car park and from there it is a short walk to the Base of it ,be warned it is a dangerous place to be so don't wonder off on your own as in places the ice is 100Mt's crevasses that lie in wait for the unsuspecting,in the last 5 years there have been at least 3 deaths from people falling down them.

again we are looking at the Athabasca river you can imagine that in spring when all the snow and ice melts what an awesome site you would see

now we are near the Athabasca glacier you can see the the Athabasca river that is fed from the glacier that is just around the next bend

the Athabasca falls you really have to see this waterfall to appreciate the power that it generates ,the roar of the water is deafening

this photo was taken from the road side and it shows the vast openes of the rocky mountains with its vast woodland that harbours all the wild life that the rocky mountains as to offer like bears ,moose ,elk

this photo was taken on the road to lake magline it is a photo of a glacier it is just hanging there just like it was hundreds of years a go

view from the boat, we are looking at a small mountain glacier near the town of jasper ,the lake that we are on is lake moraine and we are going 14miles to spirit island on a speed boat its only a small lake
